TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. GENERAL TERMS
1.1 Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in photography workshops and services provided by The Quiet Photographer, operated by James Wright ("we," "us," "our"). By booking a workshop or service, you ("participant," "you," "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.3 Services
We provide luxury landscape photography workshops, private mentoring sessions, and related educational services in Norway, primarily in the Valldal region.
2. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
2.1 Booking Process

All bookings require a discovery call or written confirmation

Workshop places are secured upon receipt of deposit

Maximum group size is 4 participants for standard workshops

Private workshops available for 1-2 participants
2.2 Payment Terms

Deposit: 50% of total workshop fee required to secure booking

Balance: Due 30 days before workshop commencement

Currency: Payments accepted in GBP and NOK

Methods: Credit card, bank transfer, or approved payment platforms

Late Payment: Bookings may be cancelled for non-payment
2.3 Pricing

All prices are clearly stated at time of booking

Prices include workshop instruction, safety equipment, and transportation to locations

Prices exclude accommodation, meals, and personal equipment unless specifically stated
3. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
3.1 Participant Cancellations
More than 60 days before workshop:

Full refund minus 10% administrative fee
31-60 days before workshop:

50% refund of total fee
8-30 days before workshop:

25% refund of total fee
Less than 8 days before workshop:
-
No refund available
3.2 Our Cancellations

Weather-related: Full refund or rescheduling option

Insufficient bookings: Full refund if minimum participants not met

Force majeure: Full refund for circumstances beyond our control

Instructor illness: Rescheduling or full refund
3.3 Rescheduling

Participants may reschedule once without penalty (subject to availability)

Subsequent changes subject to cancellation policy

Price differences for alternative dates may apply
4. SAFETY AND LIABILITY
4.1 Participant Responsibilities

Participants must disclose any medical conditions or physical limitations

Follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor

Use appropriate equipment and clothing as advised

Remain with the group unless specifically permitted otherwise

Notify instructor immediately of any concerns or incidents
4.2 Risk Acknowledgment

Photography workshops involve outdoor activities with inherent risks

Participants acknowledge risks including but not limited to:

Uneven terrain and natural hazards

Variable weather conditions

Remote locations with limited communication

Physical exertion requirements

4.3 Limitation of Liability

The Quiet Photographer provides workshops with reasonable care and skill

We maintain appropriate insurance for our activities

Liability is limited to the workshop fee paid

Participants are responsible for personal travel and health insurance

Participants are responsible for their personal equipment and belongings

We are not liable for theft, loss, or damage to participant property

Basic backup photography equipment may be available
5. PARTICIPANT OBLIGATIONS
5.1 Age Requirements

Participants under 18 require signed parental consent
5.2 Health and Fitness

Participants must be in reasonable physical condition

Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation

Carry personal medications and inform instructor of requirements
5.3 Conduct

Respectful behavior toward instructor, other participants, and local communities

Follow local laws and environmental guidelines

Photography restrictions in certain locations must be respected
5.4 Equipment and Preparation

Wear suitable clothing for weather conditions

Arrive punctually for all sessions and meetings
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
6.1 Workshop Content

All teaching materials, techniques, and methods remain our intellectual property

Participants may not record, reproduce, or distribute workshop content
6.2 Participant Photography

All photographs taken by participants remain their exclusive property

Full rights for personal, portfolio, editorial, or commercial use

No restrictions on publication or sale of participant work
6.3 Promotional Use

We may photograph workshops for promotional purposes

Participants consent to use of their likeness in marketing materials

Participants may opt out of promotional photography
7. ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL
7.1 Accommodation Assistance

We provide guidance and recommendations for accommodation

Accommodation costs are participant responsibility unless included in package

We may assist with bookings but are not liable for accommodation issues
7.2 Transportation

Workshop transportation to photography locations included

Travel to/from workshop meeting points is participant responsibility

We provide detailed meeting point information upon booking
7.3 International Participants

Participants responsible for valid travel documents and visas

Travel insurance strongly recommended

8. FORCE MAJEURE
8.1 Uncontrollable Circumstances
We are not liable for failure to provide services due to:

Public health emergencies

Transportation strikes or disruptions
8.2 Remedies

Rescheduling when possible

workshop participation.
